"It’s easy to forget that jazz is supposed to be as much fun as it is arty. That’s where the Potomac Jazz Project comes in."

Michael J. West, Washington City Paper. (Read the full review of our CD The Scenic Route at Fun With The Potomac Jazz Project.)

The Potomac Jazz Project is one of the DC area's more popular jazz groups, and has appeared at well-known jazz venues such as Corcoran Gallery of Art, The Smithsonian, Sala Thai, Twins Jazz, Cafe Nema, and Extra Virgin. We have provided the music for dinners, parties and receptions for such established and well-known clients as CitiBank, Deloitte & Touche, UPS, Sonnenschein, Nath & Rosenthal, The James Michael Companies, and Metropolitan.

Our repertoire spans a broad range of classic jazz: from the Ballads of Ellington and Bossas of Jobim for your cocktail reception or dinner, to the toe-tapping, dance-inducing Swing a la Sinatra or Soul Jazz of Herbie Hancock or Art Blakey.

Stan and the other musicians from Potomac Jazz Project were wonderful. They were terrific musicians, very professional in appearance and demeanor. We wanted fantastic music to enhance our Corporate Anniversary Celebration and they did not let us down. I will most certainly contact Stan in the future for other events.

Potomac Jazz Project played both the ceremony and reception music for our wedding. They did an amazing job! We received many compliments. The jazz, bossa nova, and standards they played were lovely and fun to dance to. Would recommend them to anyone!!

Stan and his band have been wonderful, they were punctual and extremely accommodating to my request even though my request change quite a few times before the event. They are excellent players and it was a priviledge to have them play at Windward's corporate event and this is a band that I will definitely use time and time again. The Potomac Jazz Project was absolutely awesome, they really created the musical atmosphere I wanted to achieve. The employees which were a mixture of individuals really liked the music and they were dancing and this was not a "real dancing" crowd, but they were dancing due to the fabulous job the band did.

The band was outstanding. Everyone raved about the music. They played longer then scheduled which was awesome. I scheduled them for our 2007 holiday party.

We highly recommend Potomac Jazz Project! They are exceptionally talented and professional and love what they do. Their music added a very classy element to both our wedding ceremony and our wedding reception.

I am just back from my honeymoon, and just wanted to let you now that we had the best of fun with your band playing at our wedding. I got lots of feedback from my guests and everybody loved your music. My friend Larry (I heard he bugged you to play more) went down on his knees and thanked me for not having a cheesy wedding band but just great music.
